The family's grown a bit.
Cars now:
88 745 tic AW
87 744 n/a ZF
86 744 n/a M46 (wife's)
86 744 n/a M46 (destroyed trans, new one this weekend if the yard has one)
86 764 tic AW (B230F) (needs new turbo and who knows what else)
86 744 parts buckett
And now I finally have an older 245!
79 245 n/a
I'd have to call it burnt orange. Body's awesome, 2 small cancer spots swelling paint. Interior looks as if the car was brand new a year or two ago. Everything but the a/c and speedo works. It shows 210k, but who knows (dun matter anyway. LOL). The a/c compressor and bracket have been removed, but I'm on the hunt for the bracket and have the rest. Someone's put a later model turbo grille in it, but as soon as I find the right one, it's gone. Paint is not imaculate, but it's ____ near that good (better than any of our others besides the 745tic).
I really got lucky on this one. It was a runner / driver that had a bad miss for $400 US. The miss turned out to be a non-seated distributor cap. ATM, it's running on some seriously lacored gas and needs all the commons (weather stripping, etc)
* What were the automatic trans options on the 79? (haven't crawled under yet to check the trans for leaks and such). The undercarridge looks to be rust free from an on ground inspection though!
* What points should I look @ first on the b21f? (very clean engine, slight valve cover leak, easily fixed and runs clean) The oil pressure sensor isn't plugged in and I haven't found the wire as of yet, but I put the trusty gauge on it and she's good!
* Anyone got a picture showing the upper left (driver's side) firewall? I'd like to get the fuel filter put back like it should be. Right now it's zip tied to the master cylender.
Thanks folks!
