check O2 sensor 700

Hi Rick:

Be sure to check your fuel pressure regulator as well-- if it fails in the stereotypical manner, you will have a rich running condition. Then the O2 sensor will meter out bad, even though it might not be.

You can test for fuel pressure, or just replace it. I consider them a wear item after the car has 100K or more on it. Under $40 at the good online vendors (like fcpgroton.com) and easy to install.

Diagnosis tips are in the 700/900FAQ.

Good luck!
