1992 740 Non Turbo Uneven Idle 700 1992

My non turbo 1992 740 wagon has an uneven idle. The idle is normal and then for no reason it drops to 500 or 600 rpm for a few seconds then floats back to normal then it drops again. There is no apparent pattertn to this condition. The car has 145,000 miles on it and runs like a top with the exception of this annoying problem

I have done the following to the car already:

Oil & filter change
Cleaned the flame trap and all lines and fittings connecting to it.
Cleaned the idle control valve
New plugs, wires, cap & rotar
Added STP to the gas. (OK stop laughing!)

The previous owner had the injectors cleaned about 20,000 miles ago

I am new to Volvos so any help would be greatly appreciated.
