Looking for advice and encouragment WRT driving a new-to-me 544 from Texas to South Carolina.

I bought the tan '64 544 that was on eBay, and I'm going to try to drive it home to South Carolina. The seller has a spare fuel pump, water pump, fan belt, and hoses, and I'm bringing ignition parts and tools. I've owned and worked on many 544/122/140 Volvos, so I'm thinking I can take care of most minor issues, but I would welcome any advice/recommendations.

Are there any Volvo fans in the SE who might be willing to help out in a pinch?
