electrical problems with 122 120-130

I am a novice, untrained, do-it-yourself non-mechanic but I am pretty handy and learn fast. Right now, I need a few pointers.

My 1963 122 has a few electrical problems. One tail light is out and I have checked the bulb which is good. The brake light works but not the other light in the same bulb. The dome light is out too. Even tried a new fixture. Also the reverse lights don't work though the contact is good and on up to the relay.

What is the best way to chase these problems? Is there an article that gives pointers on how to find the break in the electrical flow? Is it easier to run new wire? Where are the commen trouble spots?

I really appreciate your help. As I get more skilled I'll be sure to share my knowledge like you all so graciously do.
