How do you keep the dash from cracking? 200 1993

The '93 wagon I just bought has no cracks in the dash. I want to keep it like this. Both the '86 that my Dad drives and the '89 that my daughter drives have cracks that run parallel to the car chassis. What can I do to make sure my new wagon's dash doesn't crack??????

Who has an old volvo w/o any cracks in the dash? Let's see who has bragging rights!! (BTW...the IPD covers don't count...I wanna hear from the oldest volvo dash w/o any cracks). So..if you have a 240 Volvo in the eighties...w/o any cracks, then I wanna hear from you..k?

This cracks me up. (<----pun intended)
