EZ 116K error 1-4-4 ... how do I fix this? 200

Hello,

I have a 1991 245. I love it, but recently the check engine light has been staying on for about 90% of the time. I went to the diagnostic socket and retrieved the EZ 116k code 1-4-4. According to my Haynes manual this means:

"Load signal missing from LH control unit. Computer assumes the engine is at full load".

Since the light has been on (approx. 2 weeks) I get about 80km less out of a tank and the car idles at about 400rpm.

Could anyone tell me what I should be looking for ... loose wire, bad sensor etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Greg
