Cold start valve wiring 700 1990

Hello, I have recently have had a reoccuring problem with my check engine light coming on. Through this site I have learned a great amount about my car. The OBD code will flash 3-2-1 cold start valve. I finally broke down after many attempts at trying to figure this out and went ahead to replace the valve. When I unclipped the wiring from the injector a green-red wire came out of the harness and was not attached to anything. A blue-green wire runs from the injector to the starter coil, and is energized when the starter is engaged. The stray wire is live 10V. when the ingition is on. Should I hook this wire to the injector? If so, how? Thanks for any replies. John745.
