Oil temp sender 1800 1963

When I got my 63 P1800 the oil temp sender was disconnected and just laying on the frame. I can't see where it is supposed to install either in the block or the oil pan. Can anybody tell me where it goes. I'm sure it won't work any better than the coolant temp gauge but I'd like to check it out anyway.

Thanks,
Bill
