rumble noise at cruise speed 900

Recently purchased a 92 940 with 150K miles. A rumble or wobble noise begins to be heard beginning at about 30 mph and gets louder as speed increases - loudest at 50-65 mph. Seems to decrease in intensity when I let up off the accelerator. Can't tell if the noise is from the front, rear or middle of car. Steering wheel does not vibrate. I thought the cheap "made in poland" tires on the car caused the noise so I bought Goodyear Triple Tred tires - supposed to be very good quality. Noise is only slightly less now. Looks like the car has new bearing/hub assemblies on the front. What is the cause? Out of balance drive shaft, rear wheel bearings, u-joint? Appreciate any suggestions.
