P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfuction S90-V90

Going down the road, accelerating from 45 to 55 mph, all of a sudden I get the overdrive light flashing, and the Check Engine Light comes on. The car is running fine and is making no strange noises. So I go into the local AutoZone and they read the codes and it said: "P0740 TCC Circuit Malfuction". I had the guy erase it and drove away without it returning, although it has only been a day.

So what's up? Is this something broke or going bad or is it like the old fake "secondary air pump malfunction" error that I and a friend saw once.

Thanks in advance for any help.
