Starter and positive wire

So with no 4-gauge wire from the battery to the starter, how do you get the car to start? Without that cable, the starter will not get power to turn the engine.

The upper of the two bolts gets two wires. One from the alternator and one to the battery. Both are red, the one from the alternator is a smaller gauge than the other.

The smaller wires to the starter appear connected correctly.

The Volvo cable from the battery to the starter has the very heavy gaugs and a lighter gauge that goes to the distribution block. That makes the cable rather a special one.

Good Luck,

Bob
