'92 960 No Start!!! 900

Hello all,

I have a problem with my 92 960. I previously had misfire problems, then one day, out of the blue, it refused to start. The motor would crank, and I have fuel pressure at the rail, but no spark.

I didn't have time to mess with it, so I took it to Swedish Engineering in Ann Arbor. They swapped out cam sensor, engine speed sensor, crank sensor, and a power stage, and still, no spark and no start. They said it might be a bad ECU. I tracked down a used ECU off eBay, identical part number, and the shop swapped it in, and alas, still no start!!!

I've read the FAQ several times regarding diagnosing no-start potential causes. So far, the only things that the shop has not checked are:
1. Compression (to determine if valves are sticking)
2. Change fuel filter (but I am getting fuel pressure at the rail)
3. Engine coolant temp sensor (could this alone cause a no-start)??

They will start tracing the wiring tomorrow, to make sure there is not a bad ground somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what the cause might be??

Thanks!!
