Battery cranking Amp question

In a previous post mentioned that I wanted to replace the battery tray in my 83 244 turbo with a plastic one from a newer model. If I did this I would have to use the newer style battery for fit. With this, I noticed the battery for the my 88 has 590 cold cranking amps, while the one for the 83 has only 550. Does this mean I can't use this bigger battery in my 83? Thank's and happy bricking.
