V2 Inside Picture 444-544

For me simple is better. I like it when I can clearly identify a problem and fix it. My cars need to be reliable. They are the only way I have to get around. I've never worked in a shop or in any automotive business so I don't really understand why complex systems are so complex. If the OD will engage by introducing 12v....I'm a happy dude. If I forget to flip the switch...I'm in overdrive. Sometimes I'll stay there sometimes not. There isn't a relay anywhere in the car. Not for the lights or the dash lights ...oh there is the turn signal flasher but that's it. Get 12v to the component and it works. Sure the dash lights will flick with the turn signal flasher but I accept that. I have a single wire GM alternator and just put a noise suppressor in-line for the radio power. It worked fine. Separate switch for brights, separate toggle for fuel pump, separate toggle for the radiator fan, for the wipers I time turning them off so they come to rest in the down position... even the ignition is on a toggle...no key! Simple! Now I've told my secrets to a 4 month turnaround from a shell to a driver.

That's my car on the top!

Christopher
