Looking for repair cost comparison

Thanks. I do by the mags but I am not an online subscriber. I am looking for more details than what CR offers. I did stumble on some info at www.edmunds.com under Tips and Advice / True Cost to Own:
http://www.edmunds.com/apps/cto/CTOintroController?tid=edmunds.a.landing.feature..5.*
(make sure the complete url is copied).

Not too bad. You can do your own calcs, I suppose, but it would take some digging into the costs of used parts, hours of labour needed for repairs, depreciation, insurance, fuel, etc.

North American brands are reported to have cheaper parts and can easily compensate for a higher repair rate but I have not found that to always be the case.

So many variables....so little time.
