740 died while driving: SRS lite and Check engine lite came on 700 1990

What is the problem?

The SRS lite and the Check engine lite came on while driving the '90 740 last nite. Stopped and would not start afterwards. Car has 183k. Not sure where to start...I think the timing belt was changed about 30k ago...but not sure. Any ideas of how to check the AMM?
