Easy or hard to replace u-joints? 200 1985

It is about the same degree of difficulty as the timing belt. Never whack on the U-joint bearing cups, these are precision details. Use different-sized sockets from your regular set and a big Vise. One socket as outer support, the other to fit onto the bearing cup to press it out. Use penetrating oil on the outside of the cups BOTH when dismantling and when mounting, and those cups whill slide back in place easily.

If you canīt get it apart or back in place you can go to a shop and get help. If you donīt get your timing belt right you might ruin the engine. So, try do the driveshaft if you managed the timing belt
