Cooling System Problems 140-160

I am experiencing an ongoing problem with regard to the cooling system on my Daugters 73 144. About a year ago I had the radiator recored ( cross flow) and there has been some loss of coolant, in small quantities since. I have put the pressure tester on and it holds very well. In spite of this, she comes back with the temprature gauge high and the level, looking through the cap flange opening, at about the top of the engine. The suspicion is that there is something internal going on but the pressure tests hold at all engine temperatures? Any fault diagnostic advice or real experiences would be helpful.
