Should I buy-What to look for S90-V90

I have(am about not to have) a 1988 740 turbo. It got totaled today while parked at the curb, by a 16 year old totally inexperienced driver who admits to not paying attention. Really a shame because the car was in absolute top conditon.

I am inclined to get an S 90 as a replacement because I like rear wheel drive, the wheel base length and ride and I am inclined to think that maintenance will be easier than with the front wheel models.

All input cheerfully accepted about pros and cons of front vs. rear wheel drive and what to be concerned about or look out for if I choose to buy an S 90. Thanks
