Has anyone overhauled HLA (or hydraulic lifter)? 900 1994

One of the HLAs on the exhaust valves of #6 cylinder is ticking and I'm planning to overhaul them as it is suggested in the Volvo factory manual. I've read several past postings of how to do a "trick", using some syn-oils or additives. Both takes miles to get the result, if my understanding is correct.

My question is that if there is anyone who have done this in this forum. If there is, please tell me how long it'll take to service 'em all, and also any kind of tips are greatly appreciated.

My car has B6300.
