Replacing bad AC Compressor 200

Hello,

If you are redoing your a/c, you may want to consider switching over to r134 freon. ebay generally has a kit for sale., unfortunately, the '88 240's uses the expansion valve type of system. the genuine volvo kit will cost more than $200, but generally far less than the dealer's price.

i converted my a/c system completely. it took several days because it was my first time, but quite doable and easier than you think.

putting the a/c compressor is kinda difficult, i put mine in from the bottom.

i can give you a little more advice if you like.

regards,
