Wiring problem - lights and central locking 900

I am trying to make the central locking switch on my internal lights. What I have done is to connect a wire between green/black on the central locking relay and black/white on the driver door with diod in between. This works fine to the extent that the lights come on when I operate the central locking system but the problem is, they stay on until the car is locked.

I can only assume that whilst the doors are unlooked, green/black maintains earth until the doors are locked again. So I need a way to, with say a 20 second delay, close that circuit. Are there any relays that would do that, for example? Or I need another clever idea to switch on the interior lights when unlocking the car.
