OD Tranny install in 64 122 120-130

I am going to be installing a Tranny w/OD from an 1800 in our 122 soon. i would like to test the OD prior to installing, but need some tips on the proper way to do this (I want to make sure the OD engages). ALso it seems i heard that the drive line from a 140 will fit in place of the exsisting drive line. Is this true?

Lastly, I have a newer turn signal switch to install as well. can I connect the OD on off to this newer switch? I think it's from a later model 122.

Thanks all for advice, I haven't been working on our car at all and want to get back into it.
