Volvo saved my life. Now it's dead- what to get???

A neighbor decided to fell a 60 ft. cottonwood tree onto my Volvo today, While I was driving it!!! The body is battered- but not crushed- the only pain I have is in my ears. The sound of a brick being smashed by a tree is suprisingly loud. I am sad that my trusty banana is dead, and suffice to say that I am forever grateful to the steel roof she had. Do I stick woth the 240 series, or go with a 940? I LOVED the ease of repair, and the reliability. But lets face it, the 240's (mine was a '79) ride a bit like a hay wagon. Do the 940's have similar safty and reliability- or should I stick with the trusty 240, and move up to a late 80's early 90's model?.
