HELP 700 1989

i just had help from others on this site about the sensor plate if in fact that is your problem.the sensor plate is filled with square holes allthe way around except in one place where two of them side by side are filled in.this solid space must be visible in your starter motor hole when all the shafts are aligned and the motor is at top dead center.you should be able to count fourteen holes now from the two blocked out ones to the center of the block at twelve o clock.thats my story and im sticking to it.
