Please, recommend source for '95 960 transmission S90-V90

It difficult to know what to make of all this. It may be a function of the environmental conditions, but I frankly doubt it. Everything Bricksters do with these cars and tranmissions exceed Volvo's recommendations. Even at that, I feel that Volvo pretty much understands the conditions under which these cars are driven, even Puerto Rico. My car has been under load (trailer) several times in very hilly terrain with no ill effects; driven for hours at 75 miles an hour in hot and cold weather and not a whisper of objections from the transmission.

My hunch is we're (you're) missing something here but I really can't give you any advice. Every Volvo (3) I've owned has never had the transmission touched, except for an changing the AFT at regular intevals or not at all after the first dose of synthetics that has been added to the 92 960 and 97 V90.

I can only conclude that your experience, whatever the cause, is about 2.5 standard deviations beyond the norm.
