too much oil update... 700

This is a continuation from a previous post re: too much oil in a b230ft. Thanks for all your thoughts- they were very helpful. The car was smoking sooooo badly we were sure the turbo was pooched, so we pulled it, and it was. It had a crack in the turbine housing grand canyon style and the seal seats were deeply worn. When we pulled the oil return hose oil began pouring out of the block- too much oil. How much? We checked with the owner who said that his car had lost power and he figured adding oil was the answer- 4 litres of it! We drained about two out of the pan and a little less than two out of the intercooler. After installing the new turbo we took it for a run on the highway and it continued to belch blue for about 10 minutes and was hesitating considerably but suddenly everything cleared up and away we went! I think some basic car care education is in order.
