Chainsaw blowe replacement without airflow loss 200 1984

I have used Don's chainsaw method several times - when I cut the end caps off the outer housing - I make sure to cut an index "point" indicator for proper orientation.

Just before I complete the final cut - I drill mating holes w/ a 1/8" bit or so - one inside the cut - the other outside the cut.

Then when I re-assemble - there are matching holes - thread a small nylon zap strap through and voila - cover is back in place - now I run a bead of silicon sealant over the kerf line - apply liberally - and it seals it up nicely.

Thanks Don !!!!!!

Good luck w/ the rewind.
