electrical problems, consarnit! 200

About 500 miles ago, I noticed that my dashboard and headlamp lights were cyclicly dimming when the engine was running. Then, about 100 miles ago, i started having three additional electrical problems; first, when I start the car and press the brake pedal, the brakelights reamin lit, even after I let up on the pedal; second, the rear defrost switchlight comes automatically on (but the actual defrost for the rear window does not); and third, the car will not shut off until I take my foot off the brake pedal. The car is not safe to drive until I clear this up, but other than this, the car idles and drives fine.

Using a multimeter, I tested the voltage at the battery terminals w/ engine running and found a stable 14V. All the fuses are o.k. connetions to the alternator are o.k.. I replaced the voltage regulator on the alternator; it seems to have cleared up the dimming problem, but did not help with the other issues. Can anyone provide any advice on what I shoud do or where I should look? Maybe it is a bad relay, somewhere, or a bad ground connection. Thank you for any help you can give. dang.
