`93 940 won't start 900 1993

My `93 940 with B230 engine has 208,000 miles and has never had a problem starting. I went to the bank the other day, came out, and it would not start. It still will not start and run. When I first try to start it, it barely gets a spark and then nothing. I checked the spark going into the distributor and there is good spark. I checked the fuel line coming into the injectors by loosening the fuel line hose from the injector tube and there seems to be gas coming in. About a week ago I was exiting the highway onto the exit ramp and as I was making the turn the car quit running. When I pulled over to the shoulder and tried to start it back up, it started just fine. I have also noticed an exhaust smell when I am stopped while the engine is running. It has been smelling like exhaust for about month or so.

Does anyone have an idea why my 940 won't start?
