A has one carb
B has 2 carbs
E has FI and a thinner head
F has FI and a thicker head (1972 and later in the US)
I have a table of engine numbers and can translate for you.
The first 2 or 4 digits are cast into the side of the block at
the top above the crankcase breather. The rest are stamped in following
the first ones. Normally if the first 4 are cast, they are 4969.
