244 Control Arm Bushing replacement 200 1990

That press makes bushing work something to look forward to. Just did another last weekend-- one next to the downpipe. I had the control arm out because I was also putting in a new strut cartridge, so I set the angle between the bushing bracket and control arm on the flat garage floor to be the same as it would with the weight of the car. With the axle still hanging, I had to make use of the leverage of a pair of channel-lock pliers and a tapered drift to align and start the first cup screw against the resistance of the new Boge.

Got my press tools at the Home Depot!
