poly torque rod bushings-- questions 200 1992

Hello All:

I am in the market for new torque rod bushings due to an incompetent installation by a local mechanic-- he put them in 90deg off-- with the solid rubber oriented up-down rather than front-to-back. As a consequence, they are already in trouble in spite of just being installed in August!

Has anyone here had experience with the poly bushings sold by FCPgroton.com? Do you leave the old bushing shells in when you install these ones? If so, they should be a relatively easy DIY job (I have air tools). What kind of lube should be used on these bushings?

I'd appreciate any feedback that you can give!
