Too many variables to answer, it all depends on how the car was cared for. Keep in mind 2 main things, '82s all had the bad wiring, if the cars engine harness has not been replaced it will need it soon. Also the engine is not the only place the wiring goes bad, it is just the first place to show up.

The late '82 had a one off injection system that is almost impossible to find parts for. If you have hard metal lines running to the injectors and no wires it is the very reliable K-Jet, wires and rubber lines running from a fuel rail, LH-1, probably not a good investment.
