Draft semi's 140-160

I've always thought (obviously not seriously) about an electromagnetic front bumper on a floating linkage. Sneak up behind a semi, latch onto the rear bumper, engage the magnet, and turn off the motor.

A TDI VW is a much easier way to get good mileage, however. The kind we get here in the US get 50 mpg. And they can be tweaked to have lots of power too, and they *still* get 50 mpg as long as you aren't going 100 mph.

If there was some sort of bellhousing to adapt a VW motor to a RWD style transmission I think the TDI and the VR6 would both be awesome swaps into an older lighter Volvo.
