why would he need to use the m47 as opposed to the m46? 200 1990

I'm all for the swap too, as the car I'm interested in also has the AW70 trans. It works great and all, but after a while I'm sure I'll get bored with the slushbox, and would want a 5 speed again. The reason why I'm asking is cause the m46 i supposidely mroe durable than the m47, that's why I'd prefer the m46.
