Too cold for al fresco 200 1987

I've got an odd problem with my power windows. Front windows work as they should, but both back windows refuse to go up. They go down as they should, but nothing happens when I try to raise them. I have 13V+ at the yellow wire in the doors but nothing at the red wire. When I use jumpers from the yellow and the ground to the two motor leads, the window goes up and down nicely. So I suspect there's a problem with the red wire in the rear doors. I can't tell where it comes from or whether it's supposed to be hot. Anyone understand these things? Oh, and I cleaned up one of the rear window switches just in case, but nothing changed.
