I have read that article that tries to make everything except a warp responsible for brake vibration. Biggest load of crap I have ever seen.
Wash your car. Note how the rotors rust instantly. What deposit?
Measure rotors for axial runout. It is easy to do. Machine them and see large patches that do not cut on the first pass.
That guy is from another planet if he thinks "deposits" are responsible.
The warp is caused by poor design, especially in the 740 cars with Girling, and the inner vents on the OUTSIDE of the rotor. Every other manufacturer puts the inner vents to the inside surface of the rotor, by the backing plate. Even Volvo.
Lots of high perfomance cars don't warp rotors. They make them big enough and heavy enough in the first place. Even 122's rarely warp their rotors, and 164's are very reliable. But don't overheat the rears on a 240, or the solid fronts, and even the vented fronts. Great brakes, ONCE. Repeat and cool, and they are toast. My V-8 242GLT smoked its brakes several times, and that was with lots of rolling cool down.
Most Porsche owners, and late fourth gen GM F-bodies have NEVER had warped brakes.
Warp is a sign of poorly and underdesigned brakes.
