B230FT swap to B230F......... some questions. 700 1986

US 86 764tic (B230FT in other words)
The B230FT is toast.
The harness is the worst I've EVER seen.

I don't have a known good B230FT, but do have a known good B230F (complete 86 donar car and perfect 87 B230F).

I also have an 88 745tic parts car (pass side crunched). The B230FT in it runs, but has a slight problem or two. Fuel in oil (replaced a bad fuel regulator and still getting fuel in oil). Smokes VERY badly on start-up. Suspect turbo seals as the intake ducts are full of oil from the turbo on. The engine starts and runs like a top.

Question 1:

Would you bother any further with the FT from the 745? If so, would you take the electronics from it as well (perfect harness) and do a full yr swap?

Question 2:

If I opt for the B230F swap (non turbo), is there an easy way to make it happen (I've swapped F to FT, but we piggy backed the controllers for performance reasons)?

I'm a little uncertain either way. I really don't care much for the car (can ya believe it! a volvo I'm not mad over!). It's an ugly aftermarket yellow, but my daughter wants it because it's different than all my others (1 orange, 1 green and all the rest are one form of grey or another (mostly 177-3).

I have nothing agains the FT, I'm only considering the F swap for 3 reasons.
1) perfect engine
2) my Daughter will be driving it
3) my Daughter takes after me!
