Alternator Belt Question 700 1989

As I was heading out to the family farm with the wagon packed with cheer and joy and an annoying dog ( not mine ) I lost my alternator belt, the same one I replaced two weeks ago, i suspect that the bushings are gone. My immediate concern is to get to din din tomorrow it's only 50km and I have charged the new battery up, the belt was thrown off not broken but it is worn as if it were running upside down, I discovered that the adjuster bolt was broken so I swapped it with the a/c one. I have two questions I guess, are the bolts the same length ? and why did the belt flip upside down if not for the bushings and thirdly ( I know I said two ) can I use this belt ?? what size are they in case I can get one tomorrow, I'll see if 7-11 has a Volvo section beside the condiments.
