They took me about an hour to replace. I first used about 2' of extensions and removed the top mount nut (14mm?) on both and then 2 of the three nuts (13mm) on each of the lower brackets (which bolt to the engine crossmember). It was much easier to access the left mount by removing the air intake hose going into the throttle body.
I then removed the plastic skid plate under the engine to remove the last remaining bolt (pax side) and 13mm nut (drivers side). The drivers side nut must be removed by using a 13mm open end wrench or ratcheting wrench, it is clearly accessible from the front of the car on top of the engine crossmember. The pax side bolt threads into the lower mount from beneath and through the engine crossmember just takes a short extension on a ratchet.
I then removed both screws from the fan shroud to allow it to rise with the fan as the engine rises. Unlike the suggestions in the FAQ's I used a length of 2x4 cut to fit so it spans between the power steering bracket and the A/C bracket. This allowed me to raise the engine without contacting the front pulley or the oil pan. I placed the 2x4 thick side parallel to the ground between the two previously mentioned brackets, floor jack in the center and slowly raised the engine. I used a copper washer to block the jack wheels to stop it from sliding and dropping the engine with my hands on the mount.
Once it had the engine up, I lifted up on each mount to disengage the bolts and then twisted and slid each mount out along with the lower mounting bracket. Installation was just the reverse procedure.
If you could, would you take a look at yours that are currently in there and let me know if the wide side (lots of metal along with a hole) or the narrow side is facing up. Thanks
