Winter storage 700

Hi, I have a 1991 740t Wagon with 229k miles that I am thinking about taking off the road for the winter. My brother gave me his 2000 Jetta, so I will drive that through the snow and can only afford to pay insurance on one of the cars for right now anyway. I wanted to know what I should do with my Volvo before I park it in a garage? Should I start it up every week and warm it up and drive it around a little bit, or leave it in and I heard take the battery out, fill up the gas tank and put extra air in the tires. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

Ted
