Winter storage 700

Just an aside.

Any automatic transmission will be better off being ran every once in a while as apposed to sitting. You don't actually have to drive it, just get the fluid up to temp.................. BUT

Being a trans man, I feel it best to go ahead a full circulate the fluid.

Myself, I put my winter vehicles on jack stands (no weight on tires) and once I've warmed the car up fully, I like to let them shift through the gears @ idle (WITH ME IN THE CAR READY TO HIT THE BREAK SHOULD SOMETHING GO WRONG!!!). If you do this, stay on the brake pedal, shift to R and gently letting off the break, let spin up to speed @ idle. THEN, remember to use the break and gently bring her to complete stop. Then shift to D and same process. Gently stop her after the D run, MUST be stopped b4 going to park.

This also keeps me from getting 'dry spot' on my diff (very seldom ever a problem to start with, but WTH).

I'm not telling ANYONE to do this, just that I do and that it is good for the trans if the vehicle can't be driven.
