I'd say you've recieved some good advise so far! We've been storing my dad's '93 Acura Vigor for the last 6 winters (not including this winter) and I stored my '91 745T (what a coincidence!) last winter and I am going to again this winter. We've always stored the Vigor in a heated garage, but I didn't have that luxury for the Volvo last winter. It had to sleep outside in a car tent that we bought at Costco. I built a platform with a waterproof covering for it to sit on and then secured the tent frame to it. Anyway, it wasn't ideal storage because I could not keep the car very dry and dryness is extreemly important for car storage as moisture brings rust. We are currently building a new garage that will hold both the Vigor and Volvo (and more) this winter so the Volvo should have a nice dry place to sleep :) We always store the cars on jackstands with the tires off the ground, start the engines and let the cooling system get to operating temp at least once a month (although some say this is not the best thing to do). We cover the cars with a light, breathable cover (one window open a little) and make sure they are clean before they are put in storage (I usually wash the cars, dry them off, and put them right in storage). Hopefully your garage is dry enough that the brakes won't rust as that can be a problem. If you're not sure if your garage has vapor barier under the floor to keep moisture out, then park the car over something waterproof like plastic, etc to keep the moisture off the car's undercarrage. Change the engine oil before storage unless it was changed within, say, the last 1000 mi and is nice and clean. Whenever I start the car in storage I make sure to run the A/C to keep the seals in the system in good condition. While the car's clean and in storage, it's a good time to apply a coat of wax so that the paint is well protected (plus it looks good!) when you start driving the car again. That's pretty much all I can think of right now, hopefully between this and the other advise you have recieved you will make out ok :)
