I went to college and I didn't know that. Of course I've only been out two years now.
I try not to talk to myself in the car, but I do wave to other volvos, especially the pushrod variety and the occasional other two door Turbo or GT, though both are actually fairly common here in Seattle and Portland.
I find that drivers of many FWD volvos just don't recognize a 240 as Volvo (amazingly enough). As for the pushrods, I've was complimented on my nice Studebaker when I was towing my project 122 home. I doubt most 240 drivers would easily recognize an Amazon as a Volvo. I do get waves and smiles from older Volvos when I drive the 2000 V70R, though never from people in other FWD Volvos when I'm in any of mine. I'm sure that will change in time.
I really enjoy my 122, but I love my 242, and I'd rather be working with metric tools on K-Jet than on those strange SU's I can't understand yet :)
No matter what you drive, if its a car you care about I can respect that, and if its a Volvo you care about, I'll love it too, and wave when I see you.
