Hood release cable loose, adjustment screw? 200

Hood wouldn't open, but luckly, I was able to get the hood open while friend pulled level and i pulled on hood. Took the grill out so I can manually open it, but will this work? Found this in the 700/900 FAQ, will it work on my 1991 240?

Cable Adjustment is Too Loose.
How do I adjust the hood release cable? [Response] If your hood will not open, it may be just wear and stretch in the release cable. Fine adjustment of the cable is done inside the car at the adjustment screw just behind the red hood release lever. Coarse adjustment is done at the cable stop at the end of the cable at the hood release mechanism under the hood.
