I used Hella's rally 4000 wiring/relay with the volvo driving light switch for it, seems to work well. I know better than to run all the juice through the switch ;-)

I've never heard of anything like that in CA... we dont even have inspections so Im assuming they are more laid back.

It's funny, when I'm running them and then need to switch to low beams it feels almost like I have no lights on!
