Hello,

Seems like your fuses need replacing. The fusebox on a 240 is in a bit of a nasty spot (driver's kick panel - lots of moisture) and it is very common to have fuses corrode to the point of becoming intermittent.

Sounds like you might have a chip in the speedo gear, or a bad contact at the speedo head. Reach up behind the instrument panel and make sure all the connectors are pushed in.

The blower motor switching on and off at random is a new one for me but might be the fuses again.
