740 chains or cables? 700

Not sure how much experience you have with cables/chains, but remember that they are an emergency only item. You shouldn't travel more than 20mph with them on and they absolutely hammer your car and everything inside it. The benefit of easy on chains is you can access them when you really need them. If you have good studded tires and feel conditions are unsafe to drive in, then chaining up beforehand is a chore, and you have to ask yourself whether it's such a good idea to go out at all. After all, if you need them, other people will be stuck and/or driving in an uncontrolled manner. Also, when the chains break they turn your inner fender into shredded wheat(yes, it actually happens).
